An information and support site for foster care
Each year, 400,000 children pass through the U.S. foster care system.
A surprising lack of awareness about foster care exists among the average person. Plus, it's a fragmented industry. Each state has different laws, and it can be difficult to find information and resources related to foster care -- whether you are a current/former foster youth, foster parent, reporter, or concerned citizen who wishes to help and doesn't know where to start.
It's hard to help foster youth if you can't find the information you seek and don't know where to start.
The Foster Coalition seeks to alleviate this issue. Our ultimate aim is to be as close to a one-stop site as possible for finding help, resources, and information related to foster care. The lists on this site are compiled through our own research, but since it is impossible for us to find everything, we also rely on site visitors to send us important missing information. We encourage you to reach out if you see something that should be added!
